The set-up: San Jose has been playing a bit better of late, but after playing to four straight "overs," including an upset 6-2 victory over the Avs two nights ago, I'm finally expecting more of a defensive affair here for the home side.

The pick: The Avs have seen the total go "over" in two straight, but note that they've seen the total go "under" in seven of their last ten in trying to revenge an in-season loss in which they allowed six or more goals in. Scoring is up around the league this season, but the situation and the numbers both point to the "under" as the correct call here in our opinion.
