The set-up: Are the Bruins the "better" team in this matchup? Their win/loss record would indicate that. They haven't been playing very well of late though, with four wins out of their last ten. And after a tough 2-1 road victory at Pittsburgh, the B's are going to have their hands full again here against a Sabres club which has lost 12 straight.

The pick: Admittedly, the numbers on both ends of the ice slightly favor the Bruins here. But gambling on sports isn't entirely about adding up seasonal averages, there's plenty of other factors to take into consideration obviously as well. And in this case, I think Boston is completely over-valued here on the road. Boston is the better team, but it's been terribly inconsistent. The Sabres are going to be risking life and limb today to try and secure a victory here. I love the home side to win this one outright.
