The set-up: What's the first thing that comes to mind when you think about these two teams? For me, it's that both like to push the pace when on offense, while not putting much weight onto the defensive end of the court. Both teams are dealing with injuries, and while each struggles defensively, this play is based almost entirely on the overall situation that each club finds itself in coming into this one, combined with some strong trends. Brooklyn's coming off a loss to the Lakers, but this non-conference game means little, compared to it's next game at Philadelphia on Wednesday. Expect the visiting side to get caught looking ahead, while also resting some of its super stars.

The pick: The Wolves are off a high-scoring OT loss to Boston, followed by a high-scoring home win over the Bulls just last night. All signs point to a letdown here and note that Minnesota has seen the total go "under" in eight of its last 12 when playing the second game of a back-to-back and after posting 120 or more points in a SU/ATS victory in the first. This number is a tad high.
