Vegas was shut out by the Oilers in their last game, so today’s game is of the absolutely critical variety. They are playing against the Devils and their 28th ranked defense. A plague of injuries and inconsistent goal tending issues have plagued the Golden Knights’ season, but at least their offensive big guns are now back.

The Devils haven’t played with much success lately, but they are much better on offense than defense, and if they embrace the role of spoiler, will do what they do best, which is put the puck in the net. Only very good defensive teams have been able to completely shut down their offense.

We’ve seen the over in 7 of the last 10 Golden Knights games. After their results against the Oilers, I expect a big bounce back on offense vs the Devils. Vegas’ goal tending is still uncertain. Take the Devils and the home town Knights to go over the total.
