Two fine starters square off in today"s Cardinals/Cubs match. The Cards' Lefty Montgomery has struggled in just one of seven starts this season. He has been especially tough lately allowing just three runs in eighteen + innings. Definitely not a victim of the long ball , he has allowed just two dingers to date. The Cubs' Steele has, if anything, been even better. His 1.45 ERA ranks with anyone in the league.
