Then there is the National’s bullpen to consider, with it’s 9.22 ERA over their last 10 games. In spite of questionable pitching, Washington is 6-4 L10 with an improved offensive line of .245 BA and .745OPS/ L7 games. Carrasco starts for the Mets. It has been an uneven season for him. While he stymied the D-backs 3 starts ago, it has been downhill since then, culminating in a two+ inning five run effort last time out. He has pitched poorly at home this year. The Mets are down the line at 23rd in OPS at the moment, but they will have their chance to run up the score against the Nats on Saturday. Washington can continue on their better offensive play if Carrasco continues on a downward trend. With a higher than average number available, I favor the total to go over on Saturday.
