The Rangers have won six straight, and now face the A's in Oakland. The A's must have close to the worst home record in recent memory, and are very poor vs right-handed pitching. Dunning starts for the Rangers. He had a couple of rough outings in July, but appears to have turned the corner in his last two starts. In his most recent appearance he threw seven+ innings of one run ball with eleven K's. Waldichuk starts for the A's, and he has been very uneven this season. He hasn't pitched out of the fourth inning in any of his recent and infrequent starts. The Dodgers roughed him up for four runs in just three+ innings last time out. A poor A's bullpen (6.00 ERA/L5 games) is not a dependable option if Waldichuk has another short start. It hasn't always been the case, but the Rangers' pen is in top form with an ERA under 2.00/ L7.

The Rangers are seeing the ball very well with the third best OPS of .952 in the last week. While the A's have won two straight, this really should be another win for the hard-hitting Rangers. Take Texas on the run line at -1 1/2.
