I will be riding with the New York Mets (-1.5) in this one against the Phillies. New York is (8-2) in their last 10 and they have looked great in their last few series. I see them having success at the plate, as they have been red hot at the dish over the past few weeks. They are scoring the third most runs per game and they have the fourth highest overall team batting average. They have also averaged 5.40 runs per game in their last 10 against LHP. Ranger Suarez will struggle in this one and the Mets will eventually get the W. Suarez is (8-5) with a 3.68 ERA, but he won’t pitch deep enough into this game to give his team a chance. I am also putting all my trust in Max Scherzer. He will be starting on the mound for New York, as I am expecting him to shut down the Phillies when they are at the plate. He is currently (8-2) with a 1.98 ERA and a .90 WHIP. He will keep the Phillies off the bases, and they won’t have enough chances to score to keep this game close. The Mets have done a great job backing up their starting pitchers over the past few weeks, as well. They will stay solid in the field again and the Mets will stay hot at home.
