New York Mets -192
(MLB) Texas vs. NY Mets,
Money Line: -192.00 NY Mets (Home)
Result: Win
I will be riding with the Mets at home in this game. They are currently (24-12) at home this season, as they have been very difficult to beat on their home field. The Mets are also scoring the fourth-most runs per game and they have the fourth-highest overall team batting average. This Texas defense isn’t very solid and I have very little faith in the man they are starting on the mound. In the field, Texas is allowing the 16th most runs per game and they have already committed the 23rd most fielding errors. The Rangers will also have Glenn Otto starting on the mound. He has started this season (4-3) with a 5.31 ERA and 1.51 WHIP rating. These numbers feel way too high going against this stacked lineup that the Mets have. New York will be starting Chris Bassitt on the mound and I have a ton of faith in him during this game. He currently has a (6-5) record, 4.01 ERA, and 1.15 WHIP rating. Lucky for us though, he has been way better at home. He is only allowing 3.16 runs per game, which will be enough to get his team the W. He has also won two of his last three starts and has pitched for at least 7.0 innings in two of those three games. The Rangers struggle at the plate, as they are only scoring the 15th most runs per game and have the 19th lowest overall team batting average. They aren’t consistent enough at the plate and the Mets will get this home victory.
