No we cannot ignore than Auburn is from the conference that has won seven straight national championships. This is both a mental edge as they contributed to that streak and a very real reminder of the fact they played more quality foes.

FSU did thrash everyone, but Clemson was their best foe. Clemson split their two games against quality SEC competition, so there is only so much we can get impressed by running the table in the ACC.

Stop whining about how Auburn was lucky against Alabama, a team that was a bigger favorite to Auburn than FSU was. Alabama won three of the previous four national championships, the last two by a combined 63-14 score and was undefeated entering the game.

Oh the one championship Alabama did not win over the last four years was won by, guess who? Yes Auburn.

Absolutely that impresses us more than blowing out the Peter Principle Clemson squad. Yes Auburn has struggled against Aaron Murray, AJ McCarron, Johnny Manziel, and James Franklin. And they beat all three. They have seen QBs the quality of Jameis Winston and beaten all three.

Yes FSU did dominate Taj Boyd, but he is the only QB the quality of Nick Marshall they have faced.

Auburn is much more tested. Look for them to pull of an upset against a freshman QB team that has had one elite opponent.
