The nightcap in the CFP triple-header comes when Georgia takes on Notre Dame. Of the three games, this is the one that hits me as most likely to be a defensive struggle, and my pick reflects that.
Georgia, of course, will be without Carson Beck, who suffered a season-ending injury in the SEC title game. Their offense is capable, for sure, but losing a solid starting quarterback is going to be a blow. Notre Dame, meanwhile, dominated Indiana, but did so by way of the run game and a stifling defense. They controlled the clock, and it fits with the way they've played this season. Their offense doesn't rely on explosive plays, and they don't play many shootouts.
I think the defenses are going to have a good day in this one. For that reason, give me the under.
