Cleveland at Atlanta 8:30 ET
Hawks over Cavaliers- I was certainly disappointed but not totally shocked in the Game 1 result as the Cavaliers came down from an early 9-point deficit to defeat the Hawks at Atlanta. But I was totally shocked that the Hawks went off a 2½ point favorite as I expected Cleveland to go off the favorite. That was the first time in 13 consecutive playoff series that the Cavaliers have won Game 1 but that really had nothing to do with my selection. J.R. Smith went nuts with eight 3-pointers for Cleveland while Kyrie Irving aggravated his knee but Atlanta's Kyle Korver continues his shooting slump at 33% over the past five games. Look for the Hawks to rebound (no pun intended) as the club with the best home and overall record in the East post a much needed win. Take ATLANTA!
