Fighting Irish over Hokies- Now, this should be an interesting affair as ACC 7th-seed Virginia Tech is the only ACC team to defeated No. 1 Virginia in conference play and are an underdog against No. 10 seed Notre Dame. The Hokies enter this contest losing 2-of-3 while the Fighting Irish won Tuesday over Pittsburgh 67-64 in Round 1. The reason for the Irish being favored here against a higher seeded team that defeated them at home (80-75) is the return of two standouts Matt Farrell and Bonzie Colson.
