Chicago Cubs at New York Mets 7:10 ET
Cubs over Mets- Chicago was the opening line favorite to win the Central Division and just ended a 3-game losing streak with yesterday's 5-2 win over the Mets. They now trail St. Louis by 3-games in the Central for the division lead and Washington by 3-games in the Wild Card chase but lead the Mets by 3-games. The Mets who have made a great run (27-10) in the second half has had trouble with the better MLB clubs. One positive factor during the Mets surge has been Noah Syndergaar (9-6, 3.71 ERA) who has an ERA of 1.81 in his eight starts since the All-Star break. He is 1-1 with a 3.00 ERA against Chicago in four regular season starts. The Cubs will start Kyle Hendricks (9-9, 3.20) who has had a pair of great back-to-back performances and is 3-0 lifetime against New York allowing just one run in 19.1 innings. Take CHICAGO!
