Mets over Cubs- About two weeks ago it looked like these two would battle for one of the Wild Card spots till the final game but fortunes have changed. The Mets who have lost five-in-row and now trail the cubs by four-games and just can't beat the 'good' teams. They were just been swept (3-0) by Atlanta and could get swept again with a loss tonight. The Cubs will start former ace Jon Lester (10-9, 4.49) who is 6-1 with a 3.40 ERA in nine starts against New York. The Mets will start their Cy Young Award winner Jacob deGrom (8-7, 2.56) who has been pitching in 'bad luck' with little support most of the season. He has received just three runs per start while allowing just 129 hits in 162 innings. Lester's season seems to be getting worse as the year moves on throwing to a 8.51 ERA in his last five starts. Heavy price but it is NEW YORK!
