Rockies over A’s- Colorado's scheduled starter right-hander Cal Quantrill (3-3, 3.66 ERA) is a Stanford product that has never lost to the A's, going 2-0 with a 2.12 ERA in three starts. After going 0-for-3 in April, Quantrill has rebounded with a perfect May, winning all three of his starts while allowing just two runs in 19 2/3 innings. A's right-hander Aaron Brooks (0-1, 3.86) is slated to make his second start of the season. The 34-year-old, who is in his second stint with the A's, has never faced the Rockies in his career (I guess he is part of the A’s youth movement...NOT). The Rockies had seven straight wins before getting swept three games in San Francisco over the weekend. Oakland had won six straight into May but have now dropped their last eight games. Take COLORADO!
