Baltimore ran away with the East while Detroit won their fourth straight Divisional title. The Tigers took five of six from the Orioles in the regulars season all games witch were played before Mid-May. Max Scherzer (18-5, 3.15 ERA) was 2-1 with a 2.82 ERA in the playoffs last season with 34 strikeouts in 22 innings.
