Royals over Giants- These two Wild Card entrants are even at one win apiece as Game 3 moves to San Francisco. Kansas City showed great resiliency in bouncing back after their deflating Game one loss with a convincing and confidence building 6-2 win. There are numerous trends that support both clubs as the Giants are 20-6 in their last 26 home games and they are 7-1 in their last eight world series games. The Royals not to be denied are 9-1 in their last 10 as underdogs and 9-1 in their last 10 playoff games as well as 8-1 in their last nine inter-league contests. Starting pitching is always a factor and Jeremy Guthrie (13-11, 4.07 ERA) and Tim Hudson (9-13, 3.55) are a virtual wash but Guthrie has been more effective of late surrendering just 12 hits in his last 17.1 innings.
