It's very surprising to see the Fighting Irish as underdogs at home against a Wolverines team that has had offensive issues for a while.

I like Notre Dame here and we are also getting some great value on this game as the line opened with the Irish as a -7 pt favorite.

This is a classic example of national media hype and Joe Public moving the line.


Michigan's QB Shea Patterson, who inherits the 105th-ranked offense from 2017 in college football, and I don't see him doing much on the road here.
Shea Patterson threw two touchdowns and five interceptions against winning teams last year while with Ole Miss -- which had one of the best wide receiving groups in the country. I don't see it this early in the season.


I expect a low-scoring game here and for Notre Dame with Wimbush at QB who can run and pass.
Lastly the ND Irish are 16-4 SU in their last 20 home openers and the home team in this series is 4-0 ATS the last four. Look for the Irish to come out on top in their College Football home opener.
