Result: Win
The Saints and the Falcons are coming in with the exact same record. However, the Saints are a team that is going to have to prove a point after nearly being beaten by the Browns in the last outing. The Saints have the 4th ranked passing offense in the land with 322.5 yards per game. Drew Brees is the quarterback again this year for the Saints with 682 yards so far and 5 touchdowns, but has not thrown any picks on the season. The favorite target for Brees on the year has been Michael Thomas who has 28 receptions for 268 yards and 3 touchdowns. The leading rusher for the anemic rush attack is Alvin Kamara who has carried the ball 21 times for 75 yards and only 2 touchdowns. With the defense the Falcons are giving up 218.5 yards a game in the air and have allowed 3 touchdowns, but has picked the ball 2 times and sacked the opponent 3 times. The pass rush could be challenged with Takk McKinley and Derrick Shelby both injured and unable to play. The Saints have an offense that can light up the scoreboard and with McKinley and Shelby both injured it will be difficult for the Falcons to put pressure on Brees. Even with the horrible pass defense the Saints have they will have a good chance of containing Ryan who has struggled some this year. With the missing pass rush of the Falcons and this being a divisional game I am on the SAINTS plus the pts.
