(MLB) Oakland vs. Pittsburgh,
Total: 8.00 | -101.00 Over
Result: Loss
Originally called up last month to fill in for the injured Marco Estrada, Chris Bassitt has been a more than adequate replacement. The right-hander has allowed just one run over his first two starts with an impressive 16-4 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 12 innings.

Oakland clobbered the Pirates 14-1 on Friday to snap a 6-game losing streak and my money is on the A's to carry over that momentum with another victory on Saturday. While Pittsburgh's Trevor Williams has a solid 3.38 ERA in 6 starts, he is coming off a bad outing at the Dodgers, where he gave up 5 runs on 8 hits in 6 innings. He has completed at least six innings in each of his six starts this season.

As for the A's, they will have Chris Bassitt on the mound and he's been outstanding in his first two starts of 2019. Bassitt has allowed a mere 1 run on 5 hits with an impressive 16 strikeouts in 12 innings of work. I look for him to have no problem keeping Pittsburgh's offense in check. Pirates are only averaging 3.2 runs/game and hitting just .234 as a team on their home field this season. I like the UNDER here in this one on Saturday evening.

In the expect Muddy Kentucky Derby we like horse #5 -2. Improbable (5-1 odds) - Has finished second in both of his races this year, but only lost by a length to Omaha Beach in the Arkansas Derby; he was super sharp in a workout at Churchill last weekend and got the best post position of any of the three Bob Baffert horses. He has improved in every race and I 'm playing him to WIN-PLACE-SHOW across the board in the Derby today.
