(MLB) St. Louis vs. LA Dodgers,
Money Line: -154.00 LA Dodgers (Home)
Result: Win
Gonsolin (0-1, 5.63) is making his third career big-league appearance on Monday night. He last pitched nearly a week ago, last Tuesday, when he tossed four innings and earned a save vs Colorado. Gonsolin was awarded his major-league debut at Arizona on June 26. His debut saw him surrender six runs (four earned) across four frames in a start.

This was a kid who was a two-way starter in college, as well, so pitching was another way to leverage his talents.

His four-seamer is a pitch he can throw at different speeds and command. His change and splitter are his best secondary pitches and both grade out as plus-offerings. And both his curveball and slider are better than most big leaguers, rotation and rpm wise, that 40 percent of the 2019 MLB rotation arms.

The wipeout pitch owned, operated and executed tonight by Gonsolin offers a display of the pedestrian lineup of the Cardinals with buckled knees and weak swings at spot-on pitches. I look for Gonsolin's to get the win here at home over the Cards.
