The Ducks are not quite ready to be a real contender in the Pacific Division. The only reason the Golden Knights are below them in the standings is due to the unprecedented amount of injuries the Golden Knights have suffered this season. The Golden Knights are finally seeing the return of several crucial players. Mark Stone, Zach Whitecloud, Max Pacioretty and Jonathan Marchessault are all back in the lineup. This is massively important for a team who have managed to stay above water despite having been so afflicted. Now that a majority of these players have returned to the lineup, It is not likely that the Ducks will be able to come out of this matchup with a victory.
