The Cardinals are not a great road team losing their previous road series to the Rockies and are two games below .500 on the road. The Diamondbacks are tough to beat at Chase Field. They have posted a 7-3 record in their last 11 home games and after dropping the first 2 to STL I like them to get the win on Sunday.

STL starter Jose Quintana has struggled against the Diamondbacks throughout his career and in this ballpark, surrendering a whopping 20 runs in 21 innings. Quintana has been poor on the road with a high 4.93 ERA on the season. ARZ’ starter Merrill Kelly has quietly been spectacular this summer with a 1.31 ERA last month and a 2.37 ERA in his three starts. He also has a very strong 2.99 ERA in his career against the Cards.
16 runs is the most the D-Backs have given up all season and I look for them to bounce back here on Sunday evening.
