I am going to back Max Scherzer from a terrible outing his last game where he only lasted 3 innings. That's what it comes down to. I like him to end the Rangers' season-high eight-game losing streak.

Scherzer is still effective with a 12-5 record and 3.77 ERA. He's in good form with a 2.39 ERA in his last three starts. The Rangers are 3-1 in Scherzer's starts with them.

Twins starter Joe Ryan has slowed down and also been injured since a hot start. This will be his first start in 24 days and probably won't pitch deep into this game.

Ryan wasn't in good form before his injury with a 5.52 ERA during his previous three outings and I think Texas snaps out of their fuck and ends this losing streak. Its not often you get Scherzer at this price either.
