These pitchers have both been giving up runs all season, but one has been considerably worse. Kyle Hendricks is off to a nightmarish start for the Cubs this season. He is 0-2 on the year in his three outings, never pitched more than five innings, gave up at least eight hits in each game, and a total of five home runs over three games.
Arizona is tied for 10th in the majors in home runs, and are 6th in runs scored, they will be able to put up a strong showing against Hendricks here. Also, the Cubs will be without one of their top bats, as Suzuki was just sent to the 10-day IL. The Diamondbacks have the better pitcher, and will be closer to full strength in this Tuesday night!
