Now the reliable, if not spectacular, Jimmy G comes back to the helm of the offense that ranked 6th in the NFL last year when he was directing the show. The 49er's defense has never been in question ending last season ranked 3rd in total defense in 2021 and currently ranking first in the NFL. Denver, meanwhile, has been a mess. Coaching gaffes and clock management mistakes led to a loss at the Seahawks to open the season, and last week they struggled to put away the lowly Texans. The Broncos are currently ranked 3rd in team defense, but they played two of the worst offenses in the NFL. The Broncos are scoring a 24th-worst 16 points per game. Take the 49ers to win.
