10* TOP EAST-CONF TOTAL - +$34,000 NHL!
(NHL) Carolina vs. Montreal,
Total: 5.50 | -115.00 Over
Result: Loss
Total: 5.50 | -115.00 Over
Result: Loss
This is a 10* TOP EASTERN-CONFERENCE TOTAL on the OVER Hurricanes/Canadiens.
I am not good at assessing individual player talent. That's what professional scouts or DFS players do.
We're really good at assessing a team as a "whole." We're also primarily "situational" handicappers.
Will Montreal ever win another game? The Habs made an improbable run to the Stanley Cup last season, but they're 0-4 out of the gate this year.
Star goalie Carey Price is still out for personal reasons, so it may take a while before the Habs start to regain their form.
Regardless though, I expect the home side to open up the playbook here and to push the pace from start to finish (note that Montreal has seen the total go OVER in eight of its last nine after three or more straight losses in a row!)
As for the Hurricanes, they're 2-0. They haven't played since October 16th though when they won 3-2 at Nashville, so they'll be plenty rested and ready to take advantage of this suspect Montreal defense.
When you add it all up, everything does indeed point to a higher-scoring OVER in my opinion.
Good luck, NP
