This is a 10* TOP TOTAL on the OVER Jays/Astros.

Both teams have good starting pitching and decent bullpens. Each team also possesses plenty of pop in the line-up.

Each has played to several lower-scoring games of late though and I believe that's helped in driving this O/U number lower than it should be.

Toronto has seen the total go UNDER the number in eight of its last ten and in four straight. That includes back-to-back road wins at Boston, including yesterday's tight 3-2 decision.

Houston had seen the total go OVER in three straight before falling 6-1 at home here to LA in its most recent outing.

Note though that the Astros have seen the total go OVER the number in eight of their last 11 after a shutout home loss.

Justin Verlander (1-1, 0.69 ERA) is poised for regression here in our opinion. He's 4-6 with a pedestrian 4.28 ERA in 14 career starts against the Jays.

Toronto goes with Ross Stripling (0-0, 3.00) who was 1-1 with a 4.15 ERA in two starts vs. the Astros last season.
