Both teams have been playing to several lower-scoring games of late, but I expect those trends to end this evening.
The Rangers have lost nine straight. They'll be eager to break that slide here. They've seen the total go UNDER in three straight, and that includes yesterday's 1-0 series opening loss here.

Valdez is enjoying an awesome season and it's difficult to say too many negative things about him. I won't bother. I think the Rangers plate a couple runs here off him though considering the circumstances.
I won't lay the chalk or the 1.5 runs. Houston though will be looking forward to facing Otto, who is 0-2 with a 4.94 ERA in five career starts vs. them.
