This is a 10* NLCS TOTAL OF THE YEAR on the UNDER Phillies/Padres.

Here are two teams that were not expected to be in the NLCS, but whose fan bases couldn't be happier. And now both the Phillies and Padres can get another big monkey off their backs with a trip to the World Series as well.

Each has been involved in some high-scoring games to this point, and each has been involved in some "duels" as well.

I think we'll have a lower-scoring pitchers duel here in Game 1. I really like these starters and each has a better than advertised bullpen so far in the playoffs as well.

It would be easy to write a convincing argument for either the Phillies Zach Wheeler or the Padres' Yu Darvish to come out on top. They had great regular seasons, they've been solid throughout the playoffs and they have great records vs. their respective opponents tonight.

Look for Game 1 to be dominated by the men on the mound and look for this total to stay UNDER the posted number.
