FAU is coming into this game with a 7-1 record this season and they have been playing very well in their recent games. Their 1 loss this season came at home against Bryant earlier this year and was right before they went to go play in a tournament. That loss really sparked them though as they have won their last 5 straight games since that loss with 3 of them coming at neutral locations. They have also beaten some good quality teams in that span as they have wins against Butler, Texas A&M, Virginia Tech, and Liberty. They are going up against an Illinois team that is 6-1 this season with their only loss coming at home against Marquette. They have won their last 4 straight games since then and they are coming off of a very good win on the road against Rutgers. Rutgers has not been as good this season though and Illinois does not have many good quality wins this season either as their only real competition was their game at home against Marquette which they lost. The road game against Rutgers is also the only time Illinois has played away from home this season while FAU has played multiple games at neutral locations already and they are returning almost the exact same team that went to the Final Four last year.
