They were swept by the Mariners in their last series and have lost 3 of their last 4 as well as 5 of their last 7 games. Their pitching has been great this season as they do not give up many runs, but their offense has been one of the worst in the league as they are not scoring many runs either, scoring 2 runs or less in 2 of their last 3 games and scoring no more than 4 runs in any of their last 4 games. Patrick Corbin is starting for the Rangers in this game and he is 0-0 with a 6.75 ERA this season. He has only made 1 start this season, but he allowed 3 earned runs in 4 innings in that start. He is also coming off of a season which he was not very good, and he allowed 4 earned runs in 4 innings against the Angels last season as well. Corbin is going to give up runs in this game and the Rangers will struggle to stay ahead with that weaker offense. José Soriano is starting for the Angels in this game and he is 2-1 with a 2.70 ERA this season. He had 1 bad start at home which he allowed 5 earned runs in 5 innings, but he was much better in his 2 road starts as he pitched at least 7 innings in each of those and only allowed 1 earned run total between the two starts. He was also great in his only start against the Rangers last season as he allowed 1 earned run in a little under 8 innings in Texas. The Angels are going to be hungry to bounce back here and this is a good spot for them to do so. The Angels will win this game.
