South Florida has lost players, their best defensive lineman left, and they are not sure if their starting quarterback is playing in this game. The Spartans had a better strength of schedule and had a very good competitive game with Boise State, and almost beat them. They are the more motivated team so laying the points makes sense. SJST is 5-0 ATS in non conference games in the last two seasons and they are 5-1 ATS when the line is +3 to -3. South Florida will want to establish the run but they have had issues turning the ball over and the Spartans can defend that well as they have the edge in defense. The Spartans will be able to throw the ball against the Bulls as they have a leaky secondary so the Spartans should win and cover.
