Shota Imanaga (2-1, 2.70 ERA) vs. Randy Vasquez (1-1, 1.72 ERA) .

Coming off of another high scoring win yesterday, I believe that the San Diego offense is finally going to get shut down this evening against one of the league's best pitchers. Shota Imanaga has been very good to begin this year but he expects even better from himself. He's faced the Padres twice in his career and has a 1-0 record & 1.88 ERA as well as a 0.85 WHIP. He should be ready to go tonight for the Cubs.

On the other hand, the Padres have gotten very good outings from Randy Vasquez to this point this season. He's allowing quite a few walks, which is slightly concerning. But, Vasquez has been able to limit base hits and that's why his ERA has stayed very low. I expect him to continue pitching well here today.

Don't get me wrong, the offensive power of both of these teams in scary, especially with the Cubs averaging over six runs per game themselves so far. However, I do believe that both of these pitchers will be quite strong and their confidence will help them into this game. Expect a low scoring affair.
