7* CFB Side Play Of The Week: Georgia Tech vs Central Florida
(NCAAF) Georgia Tech vs. UCF,
Point Spread: -21.00 | -110.00 UCF (Home)
Result: Loss
The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are a horrible team and they will not be able to change that fact in this one. Yes, they have one win on the year, but that was against an FCS foe and they still failed to cover the spread in that game. In their two games against FBS foes, the Jackets have been outscored by 31 and 42 points. The defense has been atrocious the last few years and with just three starters back on that side of the ball, they have allowed 83 points in their two games against FBS foes. now they face a UCF team that has averaged 530.7 ypg and 36.7 ppg on the year. USC did struggle in their home game against Louisville, but the Cards have a far better defense than the one they will be facing in this one. The Georgia Tech Offense is one of the worst in the nation as they are 126th in total yards and 122nd in scoring, putting up just 15.0 ppg. They won't nearly score enough to keep this one close, especially against a UCF defense that is 17th in total yards allowed and 28th in scoring, allowing just 14.7 ppg. UCF gets a shot to blowout an ACC team and so I don't expect them to take their foot off the gas once they are up Big, especially at home. Lastly, the Yellow Jackets are 2-15 ATS in their last 17 non-conference games while Gus Malzahn is 39-19 ATS in games that he wins as a favorite.
