The news goes from bad to worse for the Jets offense. They already struggle to run the football, ranking 29th in rush ypg and 23rd in ru ypa. Now they get to do it without Breece Hall, who’s started every game so far, picking 692 yards on the ground. They’re also fighting major injuries on the O-line, with three starters currently listed as Quaestionable.
Miami may not be on the elite level but, except for last week in the Green Bay cold, they’ve been very effective since Tua came back, averaging 27.4 ppg. They’ve been even better at home putting up 31.7 ppg in the three home games since his return. They are relatively healthy, especially at the skill positions, and being back at home where the temperatures are expected to be in the mid-70s at game time.
Jets have been in freefall since opening the season 2-1, losing 8 of 9. And, because the odds on them haven’t reflected their true value all year, they are also just 1-8 ATS in that stretch as well. The Jets are 0-3 ATS as underdogs this season and 2-9 ATS in their past 11 games as underdogs. Meanwhile, Miami has covered the number in four of their last five and is playing like a team already trying to make the playoffs.
