I keep waiting for this Atlanta team to turn on the jets, but it hasn’t happened yet. They are 4–11 and still in last place in the NL East. Holmes hasn’t been terrible in his two starts, but this Braves team that is 28th in runs scored out up just four runs total, and they lost both. For the Jays, Lucas has made history in his first two starts, becoming the first pitcher in MLB history to record back-to-back starts of 5.0-plus innings allowing zero runs, zero extra-base hits, and four-or-fewer baserunners. It’s still early, but the Jays have been playing good ball so far, going 9-7 and standing in first place in the East, a half game up on the Yanks.
