I’m not convinced the better team won Game 1. The Nugs trailed from the 6:48 mark in the first quarter until there was just 3:37 left in regulation. The most impressive thing in this game was the way Zubic contested every shot from Jokic, holding below his season average in points, rebounds, and shooting percentage. He went 1-4 from deep and got to the line just 6 times. This is a very good Clips team, and with a healthy Leonard, they can compete with anyone. Finally, having an extra two days in Denver gives LA a chance to better chance to acclimate to the altitude and have a little more gas left in the tank at crunch time.
