Edmonton OVER 5.5 (10*)
(NHL) Calgary vs. Edmonton,
Total: 5.50 | -118.00 Under
Result: Win
The Calgary Flames have won just two of their 10 games this season and suffered a 6-2 home-loss against Montreal last night. They travel to Edmonton to take on the Oilers here the very next day, and I think we'll see another high-scoring contest involving the Flames.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Calgary's Defense - The Flames have allowed four goals or more in all but one of their eight losses this season and they're conceding a league-worst average of 4.1 goals per game. Goaltender Jonas Hiller is out with a lower-body injury and Joni Ortio tended the net last night, which could mean we'll see Karri Ramo in net for tonight's game. He's made three starts already this season, with a total of 11 goals allowed and a .879 SV%.

2. Situational - Five of the last seven head-to-head meetings have gone over the total. Three of Edmonton's home-games this season have gone over and the over is 6-1 in the Flames last seven in the fourth game of a 4-in-6 days situation.

3. X-Factor - Edmonton's rookie superstar Connor McDavid is riding a seven-game point-streak.

Selection: This is a play on CGY@EDM to go OVER the total (10*)
