Rogers' 10* SURE SHOT >> Off HUGE Saturday! GOW Winner in NHL!
(NHL) Anaheim vs. Edmonton,
Money Line: -120.00 Edmonton (Home)
Result: Win
The set-up: The Anaheim Ducks lost Games 1 and 2 of this series on their home ice but evened the series with back-to-back wins in Edmonton, before taking a 4-3 win in double-OT at home in Game 5, a game in which they became the first team in NHL history to win a playoff hockey game by overcoming a three-goal deficit with less than final four minutes remaining in regulation! The Ducks now look to put the finishing touches on the series, by closing out the Oilers at Edmonton in Sunday night's Game 6.

Anaheim: Corey Perry scored the Game 5-winner but Anaheim's been led by captain Ryan Getzlaf (15 points on eight goals & seven assists) and Jakob Silfverberg (11 points on seven goals & four assists). "Well, I don't know if there is a recipe. I don't know if there is something you can hang your hat on other than you cannot quit believing when you're in any situation," Anaheim head coach Randy Carlyle told reporters on the heels of Corey Perry recording his franchise-best third OT goal in the postseason in a 4-3 double-overtime victory.

Edmonton: The Oilers are in the postseason for the first time since 2006 but after taking a 2-0 lead over the Ducks, now find themselves on the brink of elimination. Edmonton captain Connor McDavid carries both a three-game goal-scoring streak and a bit of determination into Sunday's tilt. "There's not much that can really be said right now," he told reporters after Game 5's stunning loss. "It (stinks). But we'll be back here Wednesday (for a Game 7)." McDavid led the NHL with 100 points (30 goals & 70 assists) in the regular season but it's fellow center Leon Draisaitl (77 points), who leads the Oilers in scoring this postseason with 11 points (3 goals and 8 assists). McDavid has five goals and four assists.

The pick: Game 5 saw the home team win in this series for the first time but it took a record-setting comeback (see above). The key will be Oilers goalie Cam Talbot, who was perfect through the first 56-plus minutes in Game 5, but then collapsed. He led Edmonton to six wins in eight games to open this season's playoffs (allowed 18 goals) but has now allowed 14 goals in three straight losses. My bet says he bounces back. Make Edmonton a 10* play.
