The set-up: Carolina came out flat to open up the second half, falling 4-3 at home to Las Vegas. But now Hurricanes catch the over-acheiving Canucks playing the second game of a back-to-back. Vancouver is on long Island to play the defensive minded Islanders on Saturday and I think the team comes in predictably tired here in this difficult road venue.

The pick: Carolina also plays with revenge here after falling 1-0 in Vancouver back on December 12th. Also note that the Hurricanes hit the road for a difficult Western road swing after this, starting off vs. the defending champs in St. Louis on Tuesday. Considering all of the above situational factors working in favor of Carolina, I do in fact believe this line could/should be much larger.
