The set-up: The Leafs will be looking to bounce back here in The Big Apple after a listless 5-3 setback at home to Florida on Monday. I had a free pick on the "over" in that one and while that contest started slowly, it sure picked up late (and cashed!) I once again feel that the Leafs are going to be in a higher-scoring affair on Wednesday. The last time these team's met the Rangers scored the 5-4 victory on December 28th. All signs point to a similar final combined score here as well in my opinion. New York beat the Red Wings in back-to-back games, but it came back down to Earth in a 5-3 setback to the Stars on Monday.

The pick: Note that Toronto has seen the total go over the number in seven of its last 11 road games following a two-goals or larger home loss in its previous outing, while New York has seen the total eclipse the posted number in 11 of its last 18 home games after a two goals or larger home loss. Consider the "over" in this one on Wednesday night.
