The set-up: The Sabres enter hungry for a win here. Buffalo is 23-23-6-1 and 15-9-2-1 at home, but it comes in having lost four of its last five, including a humbling 6-1 defeat at home to Colorado last time out. But here's the perfect opponent to get untracked against, as Detroit enters having lost nine in a row. These teams met in mid January and the Sabres smashed the Wings 5-1 and with another tough game tomorrow night in Columbus, I believe Detroit is poised for another big letdown here this evening.

The pick: Additionally note that the Wings are just 2-7 in their last nine road games after back to back shut-out losses (1-0 to the Rangers and 3-0 to Philly), while Buffalo is 10-4 in its last 14 home games following a five goals or higher loss in its previous outing.
