The set-up: This is one of the most important ACC regular-season games of the year. Notre Dame is 8-0. The Fighting Irish most recently beat Boston College 45-31 as 13 point favorites. That contest was two weeks ago and I think the time off will in fact be detrimental here to Notre Dame's well oiled offense. UNC also comes in off its bye week, but I believe it'll help the Tar Heels, who came from behind to knock off Wake Forest 59-53 in one of the craziest comebacks of the year. Ian Book and Sam Howell are a "wash" here.

The picks: UNC has the offense to keep pace with Notre Dame. It also has home-field advantage. Notre Dame is in unchartered territory here and I think it stumbles. While the outright is possible, let's grab the points in the end.
