(NCAAB) New Mexico vs. Air Force,
Point Spread: 6.00 | -106.00 Air Force (Home)
Result: Win
New Mexico, who was the last undefeated team in all of College Basketball (14-0), has dropped two in a row to fall to 5-5 SU over its last 10 games. The Lobos are now just fifth in the Mountain West.

The recent losses have come to two of the teams ahead of them, Utah State and Nevada. The Nevada loss was Tuesday, in “The Pit” in Albuquerque, and was decided on a buzzer-beater. In the 77-76 defeat, New Mexico shot only 25% from three. Nevada shot 50%.

Tonight, the Lobos have to hit the road. But they are facing an Air Force team that’s near the bottom of the Mountain West. The Flyboys have dropped six in a row, four of those losses being by double digits.

New Mexico won the first meeting with Air Force, 81-73, behind 24 points from Jamal Mashburn Jr. While they did not cover the spread (-12.5), the number is certainly more manageable here.

The key here will be Air Force’s inability to stop dribble penetration. They are very bad at defending inside the arc, which is where the UNM offense thrives. Meanwhile, Air Force is putting up just 57 points/game during its six-game slide. 10*
