The Blues, now minus their captain and their former top scorer, were roughed up by the Avs last night. They'll travel to Ottawa to meet the 6-2 Senators in a back to back situation. Losing O'Reilly will be a serious blow, and they also have a couple of key injuries tonight. St. Louis is three games under .500 as a road team, and have lost their last three straight away games.
The Senators have played well lately but lost last time out. They also have an exta day's rest. Ottawa has a slight edge at five on five, but their impressive third ranked Power Play matches up very well against the Blues' 24th rated PK.
St. Louis's net minder Greiss hasn't played in three weeks and gave up five goals to the Coyotes last time out. The Senators will likely counter with young Sogaard who has been acceptable since being called up.
Given the fatigue factor and Blues' road woes plus their injuries and trades, I'm wagering on the Sens tonight. Ottawa wins outright.
