There has been a natural progression of the scorelines in this series, from 9-4 on Friday to 10-4 on Saturday. If the pattern continues, we might expect an 11-4 win for the Yankees today. Which wouldn't be a complete surprise considering how the Bronx Bombers have toyed with the overmatched Bucs this weekend, never more evident than on Saturday when the Pirates surged to a brief 4-2 in the 4th inning before the Yanks got serious in the top of the fifth, scoring six and chasing Pittsburgh starter Bailey Falter to reassume control. Interestingly, rookie NY starter Will Warren was knocked around by the Bucs last September 29 in one of his handful of appearances as a late-season call-up, but he looked good enough in his 2025 debut vs. the D-backs last Tuesday, surrendering only a two-run homer to Corbin Carroll in 5 IP. Newly-added Bucs starter Andrew Heaney will have a lot more to deal with on Sunday than he did last Sunday vs. the Marlins, a game the Pirates lost 3-2. Play Yankees on Run Line
