Nationals over Mets- These two National League contenders both have trouble scoring runs and will face hard throwing right-handers tonight. The Mets will start Noah Syndergaard (8-2, 2.08 ERA) who has the highest average fastball speed in the Majors but left his last outing because of discomfort in his right elbow. Washington will start Joe Ross (6-4, 3.11) who is 3-0 in his last six starts was the only starter not to suffer a loss in the Nats seven-game losing streak before yesterday's win.
