Mets over Cardinals- With Jacob deGrom down the Mets will start Chris Flexen who will make his season debut and is 3-6 with an 8.26 ERA in 10 MLB appearances. St. Louis will go with Miles Mikolas (1-1, 6.00) who is making his first career start against New York. When deGrom was listed the Mets were a strong favorite and now they are starting Flexen who is also favored over Mikolas and that is a 'don't make sense' line. It appears to me that the Cards started is just not up to 'stuff' otherwise he would be the favorite over an unproven commodity. Take the METS!
